Meet the Team
Kasala Stud is run by, producer, Sarah Hall.
Sarah has been riding from the age of three and is a professional Show Producer. Sarah is one of the most talented riders on the showing circuit and as well as all of her riding achievements Sarah also has a law degree which she qualified from IT Carlow in 2010, but horses have always been her passion.
Sarah started out in the pony club but soon moved on to showing, starting with the flat classes where she regularly competed at the Royal Dublin Horse Show. She then moved on to successful competing in Working Hunter.
As well as competing, Sarah is also well known for the quality horses and ponies she has for sale. From all-rounders to competition horses Sarah can also source the right horse for you if she currently does not have one suitable.
Sarah’s younger sister Laura Hall is also a resident rider at Kasala Stud.
She again has been riding for as long as she can remember. Laura is currently very busy doing a Veterinary Course, but she spends her weekends in the yard. Laura has competed in both flat classes and working hunter from a young age, in shows such as Royal Dublin Horse Show, Royal Highland Scotland, IPS National Championships Cavan.
Laura began competing with Dressage Ireland in 2014 and since has had countless wins and successes. Laura qualified for both the Summer National Dressage Championships the Winter National Dressage Championships in 2015.
Mark Durning is our resident Equine Dentist. Advanced Equine Dentistry is owned and run by Mark Durning EqDT. Mark is a qualified equine dental technician and trained in America in the American School Of Equine Dentistry. Durning this time he was trained by Dr. Hyde.
Mark also spent some time training with Birgit Burglechner. He served his apprenticeship with Nathan Goddard who is a specialized dental technician.
Mark has extensive equestrian experience that started from a young age. He has broken and produced young showjumping horses, worked in studs and riding racehorses.
Marks horsemanship is excellent which a huge part of equine dentistry is.
